Starlog Terms of Service

Last updated · 26 May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Starlog mobile application ("the App"). Starlog is operated as an enkeltmandsvirksomhed (Danish sole proprietorship) — full legal-identity details in §14.

By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About the App

Starlog is a personal pilot logbook application. It helps pilots record flights, simulator sessions, and ground duties; track subscription status; and (for Pro subscribers) sync roster data from compatible crew management systems and track qualification expiry dates.

The App is intended as a personal record-keeping aid. It is not a certified logbook system, an official record-keeper, a regulatory compliance tool, or a source of advice for regulatory, tax, or legal purposes. See Section 7 (Disclaimer of Warranty) for details.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your password or allow any other person to use your account.

Starlog may suspend or terminate your account if it reasonably believes the account has been used for fraudulent, abusive, or illegal purposes, or in material breach of these Terms.

4. Free tier

The free tier is available without charge and without a time limit. It includes manual flight logging, simulator logging, ground duty logging, and local data storage.

5. Subscription (Starlog Pro)

5.1 Pricing and trial

Starlog Pro is available at the following prices (subject to change):

PlanPrice
Monthly€9.99 / month
Annual€99 / year

When you create a Starlog account you receive a 14-day free trial of Starlog Pro. The trial requires no payment method and does not start a subscription — you will not be charged. The trial is granted once per account. When the 14 days end, Pro features are locked until you choose to subscribe to a paid plan above. Paid subscriptions then begin and renew as described below.

Prices are in EUR and include VAT where applicable. Prices in other currencies are set by Apple or Google and may vary with exchange rates.

5.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed through and managed by the platform's native payment system (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Your payment is charged to your App Store / Play Store account at the time of purchase or at the start of each renewal period.

5.3 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store or Play Store account settings.

5.4 Cancellation

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until then. Starlog does not offer partial-period refunds.

5.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. Starlog cannot process refunds directly.

5.6 Price changes

Starlog may change subscription prices. You will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price increase, in line with Apple's and Google's auto-renewal policies. Continued use of the subscription after the new price takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5.7 Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU) you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By completing a subscription purchase you expressly request immediate access to the App's Pro features and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once that performance has begun, in line with Art. 16(m) of the Directive. (The free 14-day trial is provided at no charge and starts no subscription, so no payment or withdrawal right arises from it.) Cancellation handling is then governed by §5.4 (cancellation) and §5.5 (refunds) above.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Disclaimer of warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except for those that cannot be excluded by mandatory law. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable Danish or EU law (including the Digital Content Directive 2019/770 conformity rights).

In particular:

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by mandatory law (including your statutory rights as a consumer under Danish and EU law).

9. Intellectual property

The App, including its source code, design, trademarks, and content, is owned by Starlog (see §14 for legal-identity details). These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.

10. Third-party services

The App integrates with third-party services including Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

The Raido sync feature accesses data from a service operated by Navblue. Navblue's terms of service apply to your use of Raido. Starlog is not affiliated with Navblue.

10.1 Apple Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement

If you are using the App on an Apple device, you acknowledge and agree that:

11. Termination

Starlog may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for any reason, including breach of these Terms. On termination, your licence to use the App ends. Sections 7, 8, 9, 12, and 13 survive termination.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of Denmark. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts, save that EU consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of their own country of residence under Regulation (EU) 1215/2012 ("Brussels I bis").

You may also have rights under consumer protection laws applicable in your country of residence that we cannot exclude.

EU consumers can submit a complaint via the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. When that happens, the "Last updated" date is updated and you are notified by email or in-app notification if the changes are material. Continued use of the App after the effective date of the changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
